German Health Minister Spahn takes questions on COVID-19 in Bundestag

German Health Minister Jens Spahn is taking questions on the latest developments in the government’s campaign against COVID-19 in the German Bundestag in Berlin on Wednesday, February 24.

In order to curb the spread of the virus, the German government introduced a second COVID-19 lockdown in November, with non-essential shops, gyms, and other facilities shutting down.

In an interview with a German broadcaster Chancellor Angela Merkel said reopening will begin once the country reaches a rate of 35 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days.
