
Live outside US Capitol as enough votes are reached for Trump impeachment
Ruptly is live outside the United States' Capitol on Wednesday, January 13, as the House voted to impeach US President Donald Trump in the wake of last week's storming of the building by his supporters.
The impeachment article was introduced on Monday and refers to alleged 'incitement of insurrection' by Trump prior to the deadly US Capitol riots.
The vote to impeach the outgoing president is taking place even though Trump is only due to remain in office until January 20, when President-elect Joe Biden is due to be inaugurated.
Trump is the first US President to be impeached twice during his time in office.
