A Change of Command ceremony between Expeditions 63 and 64 takes place on the International Space Station (ISS) on Tuesday, October 20.

The ceremony will see astronaut Chris Cassidy, ISS Expedition 63 commander, hand over his post to Roscosmos cosmonaut Sergey Ryzhikov, who will lead Expedition 64.

Cassidy - who is completing his third flight for a total of 378 days in space (the fifth-highest total among US astronauts) - will return to Earth on Wednesday, October 21, together with the other members of Expedition 63, cosmonauts Anatoly Ivanishin and Ivan Vagner of Roscosmos.

The crew has spent six months aboard the ISS.
