Seehofer takes questions on the Lesbos refugee situation in German Bundestag

German Interior Minister Horst Seehofer is responding to questions on the refugee situation in Lesbos at the German Bundestag on Wednesday, September 16, following the fires that broke out at the Moria refugee camp a week ago.

Seehofer has been in the center of criticism since Germany announced it would only take 100-150 unaccompanied minors from the camp which was destroyed leaving about 13,000 refugees and migrants homeless.

According to the German Press Agency (dpa), Merkel and Seehofer agreed on Tuesday, September 15, to take in around 1,500 people from the Greek islands.
