A bridge in the Italian city of Genoa, constructed at the location of Morandi Bridge which collapsed in August 2018, opens under a new name on Monday, August 3.

It will now be called "Genova San Giorgio". Multiple tests with heavy weighing trucks have been run to ensure the structure's safety.

The old bridge collapsed during a rainstorm on August 14, 2018, crashing multiple vehicles and killing 43 people.
