Iran: IRGC releases footage of third seized oil tanker
Iran's Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) released footage of the "foreign oil tanker" that they seized in the Persian Gulf on Sunday.
IRGC Commander Ramadan Zirahi announced that, "A foreign oil tanker, which was smuggling fuel in the waters of the Islamic Republic of Iran professionally and in an organised way, was seized along with seven crew members."
He went on to say that the tanker "carried 700,000 litres of smuggled fuel," adding that the crew have also been detained. Both the vessel and its crew have reportedly been taken to Bushehr.
This is the IRGC's third seizure of a vessel in the past weeks, and the second vessel that it accuses of smuggling fuel.
