UK Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt said that there is a 'closing but small window' to keep the Iran nuclear deal alive. He spoke to journalists as he arrived in Brussels on Monday for an EU foreign ministers' summit.

"We are totally committed to keeping the Middle East denuclearised. If Iran acquires nuclear weapons, then other countries in the region will acquire nuclear weapons, it becomes a very, very toxic and dangerous situation", said Hunt.

The ministers are set to discuss Iran a week after Tehran announced it started enriching uranium at levels beyond the limit set by the 2015 agreement with major world powers.

"We have probably today the longest ever Foreign Affairs Council of these five years. We a very intense agenda", said EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini on her arrival at the summit.
