Rescue work is ongoing following an express train derailment that killed at least 22 people and injured another 170 in northeastern Taiwan's Yilian County on Sunday.
The Puyuma Express train was carrying 366 passengers when it came off the tracks at around 4:50 pm local time. Five of the eight carriages were overturned.
All surviving passengers were removed from the train at around 9:30pm, as hundreds of rescuers and military personnel were deployed to the scene.
An investigation is underway to find out the cause of the crash, according to Taiwan Railways Administration.
The incident is the country's deadliest rail tragedy since 30 were killed in a 1981 collision in northern Taiwan.
