According to Austin Police Department, they received reports of gunshots at 02:17 a.m. local time (09:17 GMT), from popular a popular nightlife district in downtown Austin, where the suspect apparently pulled out a weapon and began firing into the crowd. The suspect remains at large, according to police.
Local authorities also reported a second shooting in the same area, in where an individual pulled out a weapon and started firing at another person at a parking garage. According to the police, the suspect was brought down by the witnesses and transported to a local hospital.
