Moscow District Military Court announced that the murder case of Boris Nemtsov will be considered by jury, Monday. The decision reportedly satisfied the request of those accused of killing the opposition politician.

The lawyer of Boris Nemtsov's daughter, Zhanna, commented on the decision, saying that "the jury trial was requested by the accused and the affected party, Zhanna Nemtsova, had no grounds to object and we did not object to it." Vadim Prokhorov said that Boris Nemtsov had always insisted on "fair, open and impartial trials," and said that a jury trial completely satisfied these requirements.

Former Deputy Prime Minister and opposition politician Boris Nemtsov was gunned down by four shots in the back, on a bridge in the centre of Moscow on February 27, 2015.
