Syria: Doctors examine girl who lost her legs in shelling
Sidra Zaarur, 10-year-old Syrian girl, was being examined by Russian military doctors on Wednesday in Aleppo, after losing her legs during shelling in Aleppo on April 16.
Zaarur’s relatives asked Russian soldiers in Syria to provide her treatment in the Russian Federation, so, upon initial treatment in Aleppo, the girl is set to be transferred to a Russian hospital to continue her recovery process.
According to Russia's Defence Ministry, in the same attack where Zaarur lost her legs, her elder sister was reportedly killed.
Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu ordered a military transport plane with doctors to move Zaarur to Moscow for further treatment.
