Syria: Russian Army provides humanitarian aid, medical treatment to Latakia refugees
Footage released on Saturday shows Russian soldiers distributing humanitarian aid to displaced Syrian people in Al-Generia, in Latakia Governorate, on Friday.
Russian troops delivered more than one tonne of assistance to residents at a displaced persons centre, including individual food rations, canned fish and meat, sugar, flour, cereal, milk and tea. Children were reportedly given sweets as gifts.
Russian health workers constructed a temporary mobile medical centre and provided medical assistance to those in need.
The centre accommodates 150 people from 34 families, who fled from the north of Latakia Province due to the threat posed by militants.
The Al-Generia settlement is the 76th location in Syria to which the Russian military has delivered humanitarian aid.
