
Turkey: Molotov cocktails fly after police attack peaceful rally
Clashes broke out between some pro-Kurdish protesters and Turkish police in the Gazi district of Istanbul, Sunday night, after the police attacked and disrupted a peaceful rally.
Members of the Patriotic Revolutionary Youth Movement (YDG-H) threw molotov cocktails at the police and erected barricades. Police responded with tear gas.
Earlier in the day, the pro-Kurdish People's Democratic Party (HDP) attempted to hold a peaceful rally, but were attacked and dispersed by Turkish police.
